Writing in the Dark

writing in the dark
many hidden dangers
for one you cannot read
any of the pages
of scawl and of life
you have poured from your heart
in that dark little moment
you choose to take a part
you know something is recorded
in one form or another
words can overlap
emotions are asunder
like a room full of blindfolded
drunken loved up nuns
each with a bulging heart
of songs to be sung
but somehow your pen is guided
perhaps your eyes can adjust
to the contours of the page
and when the sun it rises
of this you can be sure
I'll be staring at your face
in love in wonder and in awe
